Iranian movie ‘Weightlessness’ is to hit home market.

Directed by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi, Iranian movie ‘Weightlessness’ has been scheduled to hit the home market soon.

Iranian films that were on screen prior to the coronavirus outbreak and their screening was interrupted by the national lockdown to fight the virus, are now in search for an opportunity to hit the screens.

Some of the films are scheduled to be screened through Iranian VoD services.

Fard-Qaderi wrote on his Instagram “a few days after ‘Weightlessness’ went on screen, considering the current situation and cinema halls’ closure we decided to stop the process” and show it through home market.

‘Weightlessness’ is a multi-genre film with a feminine story and the story’s main events being centered on a wedding.

Produced by Morteza Shayesteh, the story begins the morning after a wedding ceremony when the groom disappears, not seen since the night before.

The bride, the groom's mother and sister, and some acquaintances, which came to the wedding uninvited, are looking for the reason for his disappearance.

The next day, the group begins blaming each other as their relationships are put to test.

Starring in the film are Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Amir-Ali Danaee, Nasim Adabi, Yasser Jafari, Jalal Fatemi, Sepideh Moradpour, and Tina Pakravan.

‘Weightlessness’ has attended the 3rd Insolito: International Horror & Fantasy Film Festival in Peru and Bulgaria’s Sofia Menar Film Festival.

The flick is also picked to inaugurate the 4th Love International Film Festival in the US in September 2020.
